In case of infection or surgery

We recommend pausing for the duration of an infection and wait at least a week until you feel 100%. Once this period has concluded you’re good to resume taking your medications.

What data is this generic recommendation based on?

Hi- This is Shriya from the Healthspan Clinical Team! This recommendation comes from our Physician Advisors here at Healthspan. It is based on the theoretical foundation that rapamycin may interfere with healing during an infection and surgery and therefore it is best to take a pause from the rapamycin protocol until your body is healed. With that being said, each individual is different and we recommend reaching out to our Healthspan team for specific guidance surrounding your Healthspan protocol and infection/surgery recovery.
