Lipid management protocols on Healthspan (ApoB)

I’ve been interested in Rapamycin and Acarbose for a long time (I’m a Peter Attia fan), so I was happy to find Healthspan! Both of those drugs are more targeted at metabolic health by my understanding, but I was wondering if anyone at Healthspan has considered adding protocols for lipid management, since heart health / ASCVD is the other major pillar / risk for most people.

Specifically I’m wondering about things like statins and/or PSK9 inhibitors since they can help lower ApoB. I’m curious—are these on the radar for possible future addition to the platform?

Whoops, looks like my original post was a bit poorly written.

Couple of corrections:

  • Didn’t mean to imply that Rapamycin benefitted metabolic health like Acarbose
  • Meant to say “PCSK9” inhibitor, not “PSK9”

Hi Andy, I just DM’d you with some more information about setting up some time to talk. Look forward to hearing from you.

I’d love to learn about this as well. After taking 4mg Rapamycin 1x week and after 3 months my APO B went over norms. I texted someone here and they suggested taking Rapamycin 1 x every 2 weeks. I am about to get a follow up lab test to see if my APO B went down. However, I have a strong family history on my dad’s side of deadly heart disease, young. I am concerned about that PLUS my APO A showing my risk of Dementia/Parkinsons, butI am nervous to learn. I assumed Rapamycin helped lessen the risk of heart disease and neurodegenerative diseases. I see my cardiologist next week for annual. Should I ask for medicine to lower the APO B so that I can still take Rapamycin. All my terrible knee pain is gone since taking Rapamycin
