Even if your methylation clock is reversed back to 18 years old while you are already 60 yrld, hummm… You’ll still look like 60 yrld, right?

A few things:

80% of skin “aging” is actually cross linking caused by UV damage. Prevent that UV exposure and you will look much younger than your age.

Other visible aging is caused by changes to the extracellular matrix and connective tissues. You’re not going to see much improvement there once it has happened.

But to the extent that healthier living cells with younger epigenetic ages make you look cosmetically better, then however much rapa helps you should see a difference.

Just know that most facial aging isn’t in the epigenetic realm.

The problem of feeling younger but not looking younger is that the young treat us like old, we always attest to the fact that once past 60. , we become invisible to the younger generation. Maybe we need to find young looking masks 🫥

Cosmetic medicine is getting better all the time! I mean really, the “J Lo phenomenon” is real. People even a few decades ago would have been floored that a 50 year old could look the way she does. That age at which that’s possible is going to keep getting pushed out… not because of rapamycin, but other advances are in the works.

In the meantime, keep up the SPF!
